Devotional Nonduality: The Direct Pathway to Enlightenment with Dr. David R. Hawkins. You are invited to share in the teachings and presence of an exceptional spiritual teacher. In 2005 David R. Hawkins, author of Power vs Force, returned to the Sedona Creative Life Center to give a ten-part series of lectures entitled Devotional Nonduality: The Direct Pathway to Enlightenment.

This video contains a moving experience of bagpipers playing for Dr. Hawkins and the audience. To give us a taste of how valor feels at consciousness level 535, Dr. Hawkins speaks about the emotions that come forth at this level and their true meaning. Dr. Hawkins describes the many spiritual traps that a student may fall into and explains how they can block our progress toward enlightenment. Among these traps are mystique, mentalization, and becoming enamored with the “spiritual.” He also talks about the error of putting the source of our survival on something outside ourselves. In addition, there is discussion of the value of love versus possession and the trap of rejecting the true source of happiness, which is within.

Dr. Hawkins shows us the advantage of being okay with conditions as they are and how to get to that place. He discusses many additional subjects: What gives our thoughts power; how things manifest; how to remove anxiety in our lives; why we do not transcend the ego; the difference between animal energy and spiritual energy; the power of what we hold in mind; how to be truly happy; individual willpower; what happens the instant we surrender completely to God; and why death is not a possibility.
