Haydn: The London Symphonies (Nos. 93 - 104)
Perhaps not for period instrument purists, but these are powerful recordings of Haydn’s final symphonic masterpieces nevertheless. Taken from the CBS archives, these recordings were made in the 1960s and 70s (except no. 104 from 1958) by Bernstein and the New York Philharmonic.
